Action Rooter Plumbing is proud to be able to offer our customers the latest in technology to meet their needs. We have been video inspecting sewer laterals for over ten years and have been very successful in the identification and location of problem areas.
Video inspection is a process when a plumbing specialist runs a camera with a locator down the sewer or drain lines (the pipes that lead from bathtubs and faucets to the house’s sewer line) or down the house’s sewer line (the larger pipe that leads from the house to the municipal sewer line in the street). Video inspection pinpoints the trouble spot(s) and helps visually confirm the cause of the problem(s) in the piping system. Whether it’s root intrusion, cracked or misaligned pipe(s), video inspection enables the specialist to determine the best course of action for the customer.
We carry 4 different size color cameras with locators in order to locate different pipe size. We have high quality cameras that can travel 2oo ft. The quality of our inspections and the pin-point acccuracy of our lateral detections allows us to replace sewer laterals with the least amount of disturbace to your property.
When do you need a video inspection?
Typically a video inspection is needed when you:
- have constant problems with a particular drain
- have persistent odors coming from a particular part of the house
- experience stoppages to the main drain or when the rain catch basin is not draining properly
- need to locate a septic tank
- are required to satisfy the permit process prior to remodeling/adding a kitchen or bathroom
