Lateral Cleaning

A lateral is the pipe that exits the building and continues to the city sewer mainline. The roots, inferior material used, and poor original installation are usually the common reasons for lateral line clogs.

Lateral Cleaning is the mechanical means of clearing obstructions, imperfections and bellies of a pipe that carries sewerage. When a pipe stops flowing, it causes the sewer to back up into the house. When that happens, we use lateral cleaning to clean and remove debris from lateral pipelines.

We use two methods for lateral cleaning:

  1. Cable machine, also known as snakes, uses a rod with interchangeable blade ends to ream a pipe. Cables machines generally feature variety of sizes. Depending on the size of the pipe, it’s essential to use the right size.
  2. Hydro jetting, also known as high pressure hydro jetting, is the process of high pressure water jet for cleaning a pipe.
